Flow As First Class Citizens in Computing
It is only in recent times that flows have been represented as first class data items to build the web technology e.g. JSF flows or Spring Web Flows. Also the sense of flow and sense of focus has been proposed as two different senses in our brain, This is an example of how the science of visual analytics can bring sense and richness in our understanding and control of complex process in our computation and the processes in our brain.

Famous quotes containing the words flow, class and/or citizens:
“Parents ought, through their own behavior and the values by which they live, to provide direction for their children. But they need to rid themselves of the idea that there are surefire methods which, when well applied, will produce certain predictable results. Whatever we do with and for our children ought to flow from our understanding of and our feelings for the particular situation and the relation we wish to exist between us and our child.”
—Bruno Bettelheim (20th century)
“The traveler to the United States will do well ... to prepare himself for the class-consciousness of the natives. This differs from the already familiar English version in being more extreme and based more firmly on the conviction that the class to which the speaker belongs is inherently superior to all others.”
—John Kenneth Galbraith (b. 1908)
“Do you know what Agelisas said, when he was asked why the great city of Lacedomonie was not girded with walls? Because, pointing out the inhabitants and citizens of the city, so expert in military discipline and so strong and well armed: Here, he said, are the walls of the city, meaning that there is no wall but of bones, and that towns and cities can have no more secure nor stronger wall than the virtue of their citizens and inhabitants.”
—François Rabelais (14941553)
