The heir presumptive is the present holder's fifth cousin Colin Hugh Byng (born 1960), who lives in Toronto. He is the great-great-great-grandson of Vice-Admiral the Honourable Henry Dilkes Byng, fourth son of the fifth Viscount.
The heir presumptive's heir apparent is his son eldest John Nicolas Byng (born 1990)
