Famous quotes containing the words vera and/or miles:

Life’s like a ball game. You gotta take a swing at whatever comes along before you wake up and find out it’s the ninth inning.
Martin Goldsmith, and Edgar G. Ulmer. Vera (Ann Savage)

The mountainous region of the State of Maine stretches from near the White Mountains, northeasterly one hundred and sixty miles, to the head of the Aroostook River, and is about sixty miles wide. Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
