Varanus indicus, also known as the Mangrove Monitor, Mangrove Goanna, or the Western Pacific monitor lizard, is a member of the monitor lizard family with an enormous distribution from northern Australia and New Guinea to the Solomon Islands, Marshall Islands, Caroline Islands, and Marianas Islands. It grows to lengths of 3.5 to 4 feet (1.1 to 1.2 m).
