Editorial Board
The editorial board is made of volunteer students and full-time staff. The Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editor and Managing Editor are full-time salaried employees, usually recent graduates. The remaining editors are full-time students who volunteer and receive an honorarium per issue published. There are typically 22 to 24 editors in total.

Famous quotes containing the words editorial and/or board:
“I have been in the editorial business going on fourteen years, and it is the first time I ever heard of a mans having to know anything in order to edit a newspaper.”
—Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (18351910)
“What happens in a strike happens not to one person alone.... It is a crisis with meaning and potency for all and prophetic of a future. The elements in crisis are the same, there is a fermentation that is identical. The elements are these: a body of men, women and children, hungry; an organization of feudal employers out to break the back of unionization; and the government Labor Board sent to negotiate between this hunger and this greed.”
—Meridel Le Sueur (b. 1900)
