UWF International - Rules

Rules

The combatants would start with 15 points each, as points would be lost for knockout attempts, being at a disadvantage during a hold and/or for breaking a hold by grabbing onto the ring ropes with their hand(s) and/or feet.

Tag team matches would be allowed as well, with 21 points given to a team at start time. However, the points system was rarely referred to, as a wrestler or team losing points could still win by forcing his opponent to submit or by knocking him out.

Famous quotes containing the word rules:

    Life is a game in which the rules are constantly changing; nothing spoils a game more than those who take it seriously. Adultery? Phooey! You should never subjugate yourself to another nor seek the subjugation of someone else to yourself. If you follow that Crispian principle you will be able to say “Phooey,” too, instead of reaching for your gun when you fancy yourself betrayed.
    Quentin Crisp (b. 1908)

    For rhetoric, he could not ope
    His mouth, but out there flew a trope;
    And when he happen’d to break off
    I’ th’ middle of his speech, or cough,
    H’ had hard words ready to show why,
    And tell what rules he did it by;
    Samuel Butler (1612–1680)

    There is all the difference in the world between departure from recognised rules by one who has learned to obey them, and neglect of them through want of training or want of skill or want of understanding. Before you can be eccentric you must know where the circle is.
    Ellen Terry (1847–1928)
