Urgent Care Association of America - Urgent Care Accreditation

Urgent Care Accreditation

UCAOA offered accreditation for urgent care centers for several years, accrediting 32 urgent care centers, but announced in July 2008 that it will cease its own program and collaborate with the Joint Commission to improve and further develop their existing Ambulatory accreditation program, including an applicability grid for urgent care centers. Centers may become accredited now, but the additional specificity provided by the applicability grids will not be available until 2009 (electronic version) and 2010 (printed version).

Famous quotes containing the words urgent and/or care:

I am advised that there is an unexpended balance of about $45,000 of the fund appropriated for the relief of the sufferers by flood upon the Mississippi River and its tributaries, and I recommend that authority be given to use this fund to meet the most urgent necessities of the poorer people in Oklahoma.
    Benjamin Harrison (1833–1901)

Americans will listen, but they do not care to read. War and Peace must wait for the leisure of retirement, which never really comes: meanwhile it helps to furnish the living room. Blockbusting fiction is bought as furniture. Unread, it maintains its value. Read, it looks like money wasted. Cunningly, Americans know that books contain a person, and they want the person, not the book.
    Anthony Burgess (b. 1917)
