Honorary Life Members
The society had 3 types of membership. Ordinary membership is open to all current students of the University of Limerick. All past Auditors who hold office for at least one semester are "Life Members" of the Union. In addition the society can vote to award "Honorary Life Membership" to any individual (including past auditors, ordinary members and non-members). Honorary Life Memberships are only occasionally awarded by the society to people who make contributions in public life and discourse.

Famous quotes containing the words life and/or members:
“The arbitrary division of ones life into weeks and days and hours seemed, on the whole, useless. There was but one day for the men, and that was pay day, and one for the women, and that was rent day. As for the children, every day was theirs, just as it should be in every corner of the world.”
—Alice Caldwell Rice (18701942)
“I have more in common with a Mexican man than with a white woman.... This opinion ... chagrins women who sincerely believe our female physiology unequivocally binds all women throughout the world, despite the compounded social prejudices that daily affect us all in different ways. Although women everywhere experience life differently from men everywhere, white women are members of a race that has proclaimed itself globally superior for hundreds of years.”
—Ana Castillo (b. 1953)
