Famous quotes containing the words character and/or set:
“Giving presents is a talent; to know what a person wants, to know when and how to get it, to give it lovingly and well. Unless a character possesses this talent there is no moment more annihilating to ease than that in which a present is received and given.”
—Pamela Glenconner (18711928)
“Really, if the lower orders dont set us a good example, what on earth is the use of them? They seem, as a class, to have absolutely no sense of moral responsibility.”
—Oscar Wilde (18541900)
