Content
The fanzine's content and tone is markedly different to Red Issue and Red News. Topics covered include football, music, fashion and other forms of popular culture. Editorial policy is generally less critical of the club than the other major United fanzines, but UWS represents a broad cross-section of views on issues affecting the club, team and supporters.
The fanzine is complemented by a web site, UWSonline, which was hosted by the Rivals network until the network's closure in July 2009. Launched in 2000, the web site's forum is a virtual meeting place for many contributors to the fanzine.
UWSonline regulars meet regularly at the Stoat & Helmet public house on Swan Street, Manchester.
As at 2008, United We Stand costs £2 per copy and contains approximately 44 pages.

Famous quotes containing the word content:
“Perchance the time will come when we shall not be content to go back and forth upon a raft to some huge Homeric or Shakespearean Indiaman that lies upon the reef, but build a bark out of that wreck and others that are buried in the sands of this desolate island, and such new timber as may be required, in which to sail away to whole new worlds of light and life, where our friends are.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“Why, ever since Adam, who has got to the meaning of this great allegorythe world? Then we pygmies must be content to have our paper allegories but ill comprehended.”
—Herman Melville (18191891)
“In most modern instances, interpretation amounts to the philistine refusal to leave the work of art alone. Real art has the capacity to make us nervous. By reducing the work of art to its content and then interpreting that, one tames the work of art. Interpretation makes art manageable, conformable.”
—Susan Sontag (b. 1933)
