USSOCOM Medal
The United States Special Operations Command Medal was introduced in 1994 to recognize individuals for outstanding contributions to, and in support of, special operations. Over the period of 16 years there have been only 50 recipients in the history of this award – only two of which are not American; Generał broni Włodzimierz Potasiński (Poland, 2010, posthumously) and Kaptein Gunnar Sønsteby (Norway, 2008).
