Scope of The Test As Compared To The IChO

The purpose of the USNCO is to stimulate all young people to achieve excellence in chemistry. Famous quotes containing the words scope of the, scope of, scope, test and/or compared:

For it is not the bare words but the scope of the writer that gives the true light, by which any writing is to be interpreted; and they that insist upon single texts, without considering the main design, can derive no thing from them clearly.
    Thomas Hobbes (1579–1688)

The scope of modern government in what it can and ought to accomplish for its people has been widened far beyond the principles laid down by the old “laissez faire” school of political rights, and the widening has met popular approval.
    William Howard Taft (1857–1930)

A country survives its legislation. That truth should not comfort the conservative nor depress the radical. For it means that public policy can enlarge its scope and increase its audacity, can try big experiments without trembling too much over the result. This nation could enter upon the most radical experiments and could afford to fail in them.
    Walter Lippmann (1889–1974)

The test of a given phrase would be: Is it worthy to be immortal? To “make a beeline” for something. That’s worthy of being immortal and is immortal in English idiom. “I guess I’ll split” is not going to be immortal and is excludable, therefore excluded.
    Robert Fitzgerald (1910–1985)

Thought product and food product are to me
Nothing compared to the producing of them.
    Robert Frost (1874–1963)
