Alex Dolan is a journalist and science teacher who went undercover for six months in British schools as a supply teacher for the filming of a Channel 4 documentary, Undercover Teacher, exposing the poor behaviour of children in some areas of the education system. She secretly filmed her classes for the Channel 4 documentary.
She was suspended from teaching for one year by the General Teaching Council because she 'breached student trust'. and the decision has received criticism from both teachers and commentators.
More recently, Dolan has been employed as a presenter on Sky's Ocean TV programme Ocean Rescue . and is now covering maternity leave, of BBC Look East's Julie Reinger, presenting lunchtime weather and evening forecasts.
