A unanimous decision is a winning criterion in several full-contact combat sports, such as boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, mixed martial arts and others sports involving striking in which all three judges agree on which fighter won the match.
In boxing, each of the three judges keep score (round by round) of which fighter he / she feels is winning (and losing). A decision isn't required to be unanimous for a boxer to be given a victory. Unaninmous decision shouldn't be confused with a majority decision or split decision.
A unanimous decision is also sometimes referred to as a "win on points".

Famous quotes containing the words unanimous and/or decision:
“We know now that Government by organized money is just as dangerous as Government by organized mob.... [The organized moneyed people] are unanimous in their hate for me and I welcome their hatred.... I should like to have it said of my second administration that these forces met their master.”
—Franklin D. Roosevelt (18821945)
“How could a man be satisfied with a decision between such alternatives and under such circumstances? No more than he can be satisfied with his hat, which hes chosen from among such shapes as the resources of the age offer him, wearing it at best with a resignation which is chiefly supported by comparison.”
—George Eliot [Mary Ann (or Marian)
