Umm Kulthum bint Abi Bakr (Arabic: أم كلثوم بنت ابي بكر ), born 13 H.E. (634 AD), was a successor and a narrator of Hadith from her half-sister 'Aisha of which some were collected by al-Bukhari, Muslim, al-Nasa'i, Ibn Majah in Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan al-Nisa'i, Sunan Ibn Majah, respectively.
A daughter of Abu Bakr and Habiba bint Kharija, she was born shortly after her father died. While declaring his will, he informed his daughter 'Aisha that the palmtrees he gave her should be given as inheritance to her two brothers and two sisters. She readily accepted her father's wishes, but asked which other sister he was referring to besides Asma. He told her that Habiba was pregnant and that he suspected it to be a girl.
She married Talha ibn Ubayd-Allah and gave birth to two sons named Zakariyyah and Yusuf who died in infancy, and a daughter named 'Aisha. After Talhah was martyred during the Fitna of Jamal, she left towards Mecca.
