Trading
Trading takes place five days a week, Mondays through Fridays. During the first quarter of 2010, the Exchange adopted the Settlement and Clearing Depository (SCD) electronic trading system. Other electronic modalities are being considered for the exchange. In 2010 the Uganda Securities Exchange was the best performing stock exchange in Sub-Saharan Africa, with an ALSI (All-Shares Index) return of 74% between January and November 2010.
