Turner Sports

Turner Sports is the division of Turner Broadcasting System (a subsidiary of Time Warner) responsible for sports broadcasts on Turner channels including TBS, TNT, and TruTV, and for operating the interactive properties NCAA.com, NASCAR.COM, NBA.com, PGATOUR.COM and PGA.com. Turner Sports also operates NBA TV on behalf of the league.

Turner also owns Peachtree TV, which continues to carry some local broadcasts of Atlanta Braves games. However, as of the 2011 season, the production of these games has been delegated to Fox Sports South, and Turner Sports is no longer involved in these broadcasts.

Famous quotes containing the words turner and/or sports:

We inherit plots.... There are only two or three in the world, five or six at most. We ride them like treadmills.
    —Janette Turner Hospital (b. 1942)

I looked so much like a guy you couldn’t tell if I was a boy or a girl. I had no hair, I wore guys’ clothes, I walked like a guy ... [ellipsis in source] I didn’t do anything right except sports. I was a social dropout, but sports was a way I could be acceptable to other kids and to my family.
    Karen Logan (b. 1949)
