Tony Tanti - Personal Life

Personal Life

During his tenure with the Vancouver Canucks, Tanti met his wife, Christina, who was a local. They have two children, son Taylor (who also plays hockey competitively) and daughter Tessa. Following his retirement from playing, Tanti returned to live in the West Vancouver neighbourhood and entered the flooring business. His company partnered with local Bosa Development (founded by Nat Bosa, who Tanti became friends with during his NHL career), among other companies to provide wholesale flooring for construction projects in Vancouver and abroad.

In his spare time, Tanti coaches youth hockey alongside another former Canuck Dave Babych. He also participates sparingly with the Canucks' alumni organization.

Famous quotes containing the words personal and/or life:

What stunned me was the regular assertion that feminists were “anti-family.” . . . It was motherhood that got me into the movement in the first place. I became an activist after recognizing how excruciatingly personal the political was to me and my sons. It was the women’s movement that put self-esteem back into “just a housewife,” rescuing our intelligence from the junk pile of “instinct” and making it human, deliberate, powerful.
    Mary Kay Blakely (20th century)

    Dear, I know nothing of
Either, but when I try to imagine a faultless love
Or the life to come, what I hear is the murmur
Of underground streams, what I see is a limestone landscape.
    —W.H. (Wystan Hugh)
