The Big O - Design

Design

The Big O is the brainchild of Keiichi Sato and Kazuyoshi Katayama, an homage to the shows they grew up with. The show references the works of the superhero shows produced by the Toei Company and "old school" super robots. The series is done in the style of film noir and pulp fiction and combines the feel of a detective show with the giant robot genre.

Famous quotes containing the word design:

I begin with a design for a hearse.
    For Christ’s sake not black—
    nor white either—and not polished!
Let it be weathered—like a farm wagon—
    William Carlos Williams (1883–1963)

Apparently writing without a particular design or responsibility, setting down his soliloquies from time to time, taking advantage of all his humors, when at length the hour comes to declare himself, he puts down in plain English, without quotation marks, what he, Thomas Carlyle, is ready to defend in the face of the world.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
