The Telugu literature and journalism is also very popular outside India. One of the major centers of Telugu community literature is found in United States. The first generation of immigrants are the pioneers in this field. This was largely due to the efforts of Dr Jampala Chowdhary for publishing Telugu Naadi (magazine) (www.telugunaadi.com) and Vanguri Chitten Raju for publishing books and conducting annual short story and poem contest for promoting Telugu literature and journalism.
