Table Table - Future & Trials

Future & Trials

In 2010 following feedback from guests the brand trialed sourcing from the local area of each individual restaurant. The trial consisted of locally sourced fish being sold as specials. The trial was met with mixed reviews especially in Cornwall where majority of guests were more interested in seeing local speciallity dishes being added to/offered as an option on the menu, such as Cornish Clotted Cream. Despite this the trial was somewhat successful and more trials are being planned for in the future.

The chain has taken a different approach from other Whitbread brands as it focuses on being a local business rather than a national business. To date Table Table has not advertised itself nationally or locally as Table Table but uses each individual restaurant name instead as they look to become 'The Best Pub/Restaurant in Town', This has been met by positive and negative reaction as guests enjoy the restaurants being locally named and individual but question the menu which is currently universal across all Table Table's.

Despite the popularity of the brand, during summer/autumn 2012, a number of Table Table pubs have been converted back to Brewers Fayre such as the The Brampton Hut and Howgate. All feature a buffet place

Famous quotes containing the words future and/or trials:

If ever the search for a tranquil belief should end,
The future might stop emerging out of the past,
Out of what is full of us; yet the search
And the future emerging out of us seem to be one.
    Wallace Stevens (1879–1955)

Why, since man and woman were created for each other, had He made their desires so dissimilar? Why should one class of women be able to dwell in luxurious seclusion from the trials of life, while another class performed their loathsome tasks? Surely His wisdom had not decreed that one set of women should live in degradation and in the end should perish that others might live in security, preserve their frappeed chastity, and in the end be saved.
Madeleine [Blair], U.S. prostitute and “madam.” Madeleine, ch. 10 (1919)
