Stefan Koubek (born January 2, 1977 in Klagenfurt) is a retired tennis player from Austria. Koubek plays left-handed with a double-handed backhand. His idol when growing up was Thomas Muster. Koubek has won three titles, two of which have come on hardcourts; despite this, he says his favorite surface is clay.
Koubek reached the quarter-finals of the 2002 Australian Open and attained a career-high singles ranking of World No. 20 in March 2000.
His nickname is Cooley or Stef. Koubek's hobbies include sports cars, video games, golf and skiing.
