Super Star Destroyers ("SSD" or "Super-class Star Destroyers") are gargantuan vessels that dwarf even the standard Imperial-class Star Destroyers. The shooting model for the Super Star Destroyer Executor in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi was 282 centimeters (111 in) long. In addition to appearing in these two films, Super Star Destroyers appear in the Star Wars Expanded Universe's books and games. Some Expanded Universe material refer to these ships as "Star Dreadnoughts".
