Standedge

Standedge (pronounced Stannige) is a moorland escarpment in the Pennine Hills of northern England. Located between Marsden, West Yorkshire and Diggle, Greater Manchester, Standedge has been a major moorland crossing point since Roman times and possibly earlier.
