Standard User Model - Examples

Examples

In 2003 the most common examples of standard user models are driver's licenses, passports, Medicalert data, insurance applications, credit applications and credit history. With the exception of medical applications, these are typically used to offer or deny or price service, and not to improve the quality of aid offered.

An example of a more adaptation-oriented standard user model is the Windows Live ID which is used to adapt the MSN Messenger and Microsoft-allied web sites to user desires. However Microsoft has been criticized for security and privacy management problems in the past, and its model is unlikely to be adapted for direct use by governments or other mandatory purposes.

Famous quotes containing the word examples:

Histories are more full of examples of the fidelity of dogs than of friends.
    Alexander Pope (1688–1744)

In the examples that I here bring in of what I have [read], heard, done or said, I have refrained from daring to alter even the smallest and most indifferent circumstances. My conscience falsifies not an iota; for my knowledge I cannot answer.
    Michel de Montaigne (1533–1592)

It is hardly to be believed how spiritual reflections when mixed with a little physics can hold people’s attention and give them a livelier idea of God than do the often ill-applied examples of his wrath.
    —G.C. (Georg Christoph)
