The mall initially had a large aviary, and a "Le Mans Speedway" bumper car ride, both in a large arcade beneath the main floor. Edited: Wrong; the aviary was not beneath the main floor which was called the "Lower Mall". It was upstairs near Sears. And the Le Mans speedway was not at the "Lower Mall" initially. In the beginning the lower mall only contained offices and a shoe repair and smoke shop and a few other small shops. It was years later that the area was converted to "Le Mans Speedway". There was also an Ice Skating rink near Liberty House. The Le Mans Speedway later was removed and the area converted to an eating court with a small arcade.
