Fish species include walleye, sauger, yellow perch, northern pike, lake trout, rainbow trout, atlantic salmon, goldeye, lake whitefish, cisco, lake sturgeon, burbot, longnose sucker, white sucker and shorthead redhorse. Lately river carpsuckers have been caught by fishermen.(see carpiodes carpio)
