Short Haul - Domestic

Domestic

A short-haul domestic flight is commonly categorized into being no longer than 500 mi (800 km) 1.5 hours in length, meaning that all domestic flights within a country such as the United Kingdom are short-haul. In addition to this criterion, the destination airport must be in the same country as the departure airport. Domestic flights can vary greatly in length due to some countries being larger than others.

Famous quotes containing the word domestic:

What we men share is the experience of having been raised by women in a culture that stopped our fathers from being close enough to teach us how to be men, in a world in which men were discouraged from talking about our masculinity and questioning its roots and its mystique, in a world that glorified masculinity and gave us impossibly unachievable myths of masculine heroics, but no domestic models to teach us how to do it.
    Frank Pittman (20th century)

An inexperienced heraldist resembles a medieval traveler who brings back from the East the faunal fantasies influenced by the domestic bestiary he possessed all along rather than by the results of direct zoological exploration.
    Vladimir Nabokov (1899–1977)

The immense majority of human biographies are a gray transit between domestic spasm and oblivion.
    George Steiner (b. 1929)
