Music Manager
Sharon met future husband Ozzy Osbourne at the age of 18 while working for her father, Don Arden, who managed Black Sabbath. When Ozzy was fired from Black Sabbath in 1979, she took over his management from the Arden organisation and then started to date Ozzy. Sharon coordinated the recruitment of a technically gifted backing band (Randy Rhoads, Bob Daisley, and Lee Kerslake) for the recording of The Blizzard of Ozz and, by engaging proven songwriters, helped Ozzy launch what became a successful solo career.

Famous quotes containing the words music and/or manager:
“The harp that once through Taras halls The soul of music shed, Now hangs as mute on Taras walls As if that soul were fled.”
—Thomas Moore (17791852)
“I knew a gentleman who was so good a manager of his time that he would not even lose that small portion of it which the calls of nature obliged him to pass in the necessary-house, but gradually went through all the Latin poets in those moments. He bought, for example, a common edition of Horace, of which he tore off gradually a couple of pages, read them first, and then sent them down as a sacrifice to Cloacina: this was so much time fairly gained.”
—Philip Dormer Stanhope, 4th Earl Chesterfield (16941773)
