Sarmatians
The Sarmatians (Latin: Sarmatæ or Sauromatæ, Greek: Σαρμάται, Σαυρομάται) were an Iranian people of the classical antiquity period, flourishing from about the 5th century BC to the 4th century AD. They spoke Scythian language, an Indo-European language from the Eastern Iranian family.
