Support
Among the supporters' groups affiliated with the Earthquakes are the 1906 Ultras, Club Quake and The Casbah. Another well-known independent fan is "Krazy George" Henderson. Although most widely known as a potential innovator of "The Wave" at an Oakland Athletics baseball game in 1981, Krazy George is most intimately connected to the Earthquakes, having been a supporter since 1975 with the original NASL Earthquakes.

Famous quotes containing the word support:
“A clergyman, again, can hardly ever allow himself to look facts fairly in the face. It is his profession to support one side; it is impossible, therefore, for him to make an unbiased examination of the other.”

“... married women work and neglect their children because the duties of the homemaker become so depreciated that women feel compelled to take a job in order to hold the respect of the community. It is quite another thingit is destructive of womans freedomif society forces her out of the home and into the labor market in order that she may respect herself and gain the respect of others.”
—Agnes E. Meyer (18871970)
“The interest in Wisdom is fading. Soon there will not be enough left to support the aphorism, even though it tries to amuse by half-mocking the Wisdom it propounds.”
—Mason Cooley (b. 1927)
