San Gabriel High School

San Gabriel High School is a public high school located around the border of San Gabriel, California and Alhambra, California. It is one of the three high schools in the Alhambra Unified School District.

It traditionally served students residing in San Gabriel although the balance was shifted in 1994 when San Gabriel Unified School District separated itself from Alhambra Unified. Upon separation, SGUSD opened Gabrielino High School to serve its students. San Gabriel High School now serves students from portions of Alhambra, San Gabriel, and Rosemead. They now provide a webpage where anyone can directly contact their staff via email (including Administrators and Teachers). Students may also contact staff via BlueBooks.

Famous quotes containing the words san, high and/or school:

    the San Marco Library,
    Whence turbulent Italy should draw
Delight in Art whose end is peace,
In logic and in natural law
By sucking at the dugs of Greece.
    William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)

Rather than words comes the thought of high windows:
    The sun-comprehending glass,
And beyond it, the deep blue air, that shows
Nothing, and is nowhere, and is endless.
    Philip Larkin (1922–1986)

I never went near the Wellesley College chapel in my four years there, but I am still amazed at the amount of Christian charity that school stuck us all with, a kind of glazed politeness in the face of boredom and stupidity. Tolerance, in the worst sense of the word.... How marvelous it would have been to go to a women’s college that encouraged impoliteness, that rewarded aggression, that encouraged argument.
    Nora Ephron (b. 1941)
