Famous quotes containing the words royal and/or thames:
“High from the summit of a craggy cliff,
Hung oer the deep, such as amazing frowns
On utmost Kildas shore, whose lonely race
Resign the setting sun to Indian worlds,
The royal eagle draws his vigorous young”
—James Thomson (17001748)
“I wander thro each charterd street,
Near where the charterd Thames does flow,
And mark in every face I meet
Marks of weakness, marks of woe.”
—William Blake (17571827)
