Famous quotes containing the words friends, royal and/or society:

If there could be such a thing as the Mammon of Righteousness Christina would have assuredly made friends with it.
    Samuel Butler (1835–1902)

Of course there are those who believe that . . . the burst of energy that propels a pregnant woman to clean her house is a perfectly natural response to their mother’s impending visit.
    Mary Arrigo (20th century)

The nonchalance and dolce-far-niente air of nature and society hint at infinite periods in the progress of mankind.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
