Row And Column Spaces
The row space and column space of an m-by-n matrix with real entries is the subspace of Rn generated by the row vectors and column vectors, respectively, of the matrix. Its dimension is equal to the rank of the matrix and is at most min(m,n).
Famous quotes containing the words row, column and/or spaces:

The headstones yield their names to the element,
The wind whirrs without recollection....”
—Allen Tate (18991979)

Below a Gospel Guide column headed, Where our Local Divines Will Hang Out Tomorrow, was an account of spirited gun play at the Bon Ton. In Jeff Winneys California Concert Hall, patrons bucked the tiger under the watchful eye of Kitty Crawhurst, popular lady gambler.”
