Rose Nylund - Personality

Personality

Rose is something of a pushover who rarely stands up for herself. On one occasion her blind sister Lily tried to guilt Rose into moving to Chicago to take care of her. At Dorothy's urging Rose said no to Lily which forced Lily to learn how to care for herself. In The Golden Palace, Rose has a much more resilient will and becomes a much stronger personality after Dorothy's departure from the group (as Dorothy notes during her lone appearance on The Golden Palace-- "Seems Like Old Times"—when she states "When did she become the strong one?").

Famous quotes containing the word personality:

Fundamentally the male artist approximates more to the psychology of woman, who, biologically speaking, is a purely creative being and whose personality has been as mysterious and unfathomable to the man as the artist has been to the average person.
    Beatrice Hinkle (1874–1953)

Talent alone can not make a writer. There must be a man behind the book; a personality which by birth and quality is pledged to the doctrines there set forth, and which exists to see and state things so, and not otherwise; holding things because they are things.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

Dogs got personality. Personality goes a long way.
Quentin Tarantino, U.S. screenwriter and director, and Roger Avary. Jules (Samuel Jackson)
