Throat Surgeries
In 1978, during the recording of the Who's album Who Are You, Daltrey had throat surgery to remove nodules after an infection. In December 2010, Daltrey was found to have developed vocal chord dysplasia and consulted Dr. Steven M. Zeitels, Director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Voice Center and professor at Harvard Medical School. Zeitels performed laser surgery to remove the possibly pre-cancerous growth. Both surgeries were considered successful.

Famous quotes containing the word throat:
“No man, said Birkin, cuts another mans throat unless he wants to cut it, and unless the other man wants it cutting. This is a complete truth. It takes two people to make a murder: a murderer and a murderee.... And a man who is murderable is a man who has in a profound if hidden lust desires to be murdered.”
