Rockin' The Suburbs - Track Notes

Track Notes

According to Folds, "Not the Same" is based on a true story of a person he knew who, under the influence of LSD, climbed a tree at a party, stayed in the tree overnight, and when he came down the next morning was a born-again Christian.

The track "Zak and Sara" has been used in Asian Kung-Fu Generation's Nano-Mugen Compilation 2009.

Folds performed "Not the Same" with the Dartmouth Aires on the finale of Season 3 of The Sing-Off.

Famous quotes containing the words track and/or notes:

I was the conductor of the Underground Railroad for eight years, and I can say what most conductors can’t say—I never ran my train off the track and I never lost a passenger.
    Harriet Tubman (1821–1913)

I am thankful for small mercies. I compared notes with one of my friends who expects everything of the universe, and is disappointed when anything is less than best, and I found that I begin at the other extreme, expecting nothing, and am always full of thanks for moderate goods.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
