Robbie Keane - Early Life

Early Life

Keane was born on 8 July 1980 in Tallaght, Dublin, Ireland; the son of Robert Senior and Ellie Keane. He started his football career with South Dublin schoolboy team Crumlin United F.C. where his talent was recognised at an early age. Keane received offers from both Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers but decided to go to the First Division side, judging that it would be harder to break into the first team at Liverpool. He moved to Wolves at the age of fifteen, joining their youth team.

Famous quotes containing the words early and/or life:

We do not preach great things but we live them.
Marcus Minucius Felix (late 2nd or early 3rd ce, Roman Christian apologist. Octavius, 38. 6, trans. by G.H. Rendell.

I favor the policy of economy, not because I wish to save money, but because I wish to save people. The men and women of this country who toil are the ones who bear the cost of the Government. Every dollar that we carelessly waste means that their life will be so much the more meager. Every dollar that we prudently save means that their life will be so much the more abundant. Economy is idealism in its most practical terms.
    Calvin Coolidge (1872–1933)
