North American Release
The North American version was first released on Capitol's Harvest Records label and had the same songs and mixes as the UK version. Some fans claim that the U.S. edition suffered from rather poor sound quality, apparently due to differences in the mastering of the vinyl record. The first version of the album did not perform well on the U.S. Billboard chart.
Cassette version, was released with catalog number 4XT-12211 on XDR system.

Famous quotes containing the words north, american and/or release:
“The North has no interest in the particular Negro, but talks of justice for the whole. The South has not interest, and pretends none, in the mass of Negroes but is very much concerned about the individual.”
—Zora Neale Hurston (18911960)
“Americans are overreaching; overreaching is the most admirable and most American of the many American excesses.”
—George F. Will (b. 1941)
“We read poetry because the poets, like ourselves, have been haunted by the inescapable tyranny of time and death; have suffered the pain of loss, and the more wearing, continuous pain of frustration and failure; and have had moods of unlooked-for release and peace. They have known and watched in themselves and others.”
—Elizabeth Drew (18871965)
