In 2010, Matheson was inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame
Matheson received a World Fantasy Award in 1984 for Lifetime Achievement. Richard Matheson: Collected Stories won the World Fantasy Award in 1990 for Best Collections and his novel Bid Time Return won in 1976.
