Rexdale

Rexdale

Rexdale is a neighbourhood located in the northwest corner of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It covers the northern section of Etobicoke, which was an independent city until it merged with five other municipalities and a regional government to form the new City of Toronto in 1998. Rexdale was named after local developer Rex Heslop. He represented the area's first residential real estate developer, by building the original suburb north of Highway 401 and east of Kipling Avenue. Rexdale is bordered by Malton and Toronto Pearson International Airport in the City of Mississauga to the west, central Etobicoke to the south, the former Town of Woodbridge in the City of Vaughan to the north, and the North York district of Toronto to the east.
