Regional Autonomy

Regional autonomy is the term for the decentralization of governance to outlying regions. Recent examples of disputes over autonomy include:

Current examples of autonomous regions include the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in China and the Cherokee Nation in the United States.
