Famous quotes containing the words red and/or slender:

    If you don’t begin to be a revolutionist at the age of twenty, then at fifty you will be a most impossible old fossil. If you are a red revolutionary at the age of twenty, you have some chance of being up-to-date when you are forty!
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)

    I remember, I remember
    The fir trees dark and high;
    I used to think their slender tops
    Were close against the sky;
    It was a childish ignorance,
    But now ‘tis little joy
    To know I’m further off from Heaven
    Than when I was a boy.
    Thomas Hood (1799–1845)
