Radio equipment, as defined in Federal Information Management Regulations, is any equipment or interconnected system or subsystem of equipment (both transmission and reception) that is used to communicate over a distance by modulating and radiating electromagnetic waves in space without artificial guide. This does not include such items as microwave, satellite, or cellular telephone equipment.
Famous quotes containing the words radio and/or equipment:
“from above, thin squeaks of radio static,
The captured fume of space foams in our ears”
—Hart Crane (18991932)
“Biological possibility and desire are not the same as biological need. Women have childbearing equipment. For them to choose not to use the equipment is no more blocking what is instinctive than it is for a man who, muscles or no, chooses not to be a weightlifter.”
—Betty Rollin (b. 1936)
