Personal Life
Robert Kelly, the third of four children, grew up in a single parent home. Kelly was raised in the church, where he sang gospel in the choir. His mother, Joanne, died in 1993.
Kelly has three children: Two daughters, Joann (born 1998) and Jaya (born 2000), and a son Robert Jr. (born 2002).
In 1996, Kelly married Andrea Kelly, his former backup dancer and children's mother. In January 2009, after almost 13 years of marriage, the couple divorced.
