Qui-Gon Jinn is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe, portrayed by Liam Neeson. He is one of the primary characters in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. He also appears in the Star Wars Expanded Universe of comic books, video games, and novels. In Star Wars fiction, Qui-Gon is best known as the mentor of the Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, as well as the one who discovers Anakin Skywalker, who later becomes Darth Vader.
