Questar Corporation (NYSE: STR) is a natural gas-focused energy company based in Salt Lake City, Utah in the Rocky Mountains. Questar's three major lines of business — retail gas distribution, interstate gas transportation and gas production — are conducted through its principal subsidiaries: Questar Gas, Questar Pipeline and Wexpro. Wexpro is an oil and natural gas producer in the Rocky Mountains.
Previously known as Mountain Fuel Supply Company the company reorganized under a holding company in 1984 and is publicly traded as Questar Corporation. Mountain Fuel Supply formally changed its name to Questar Gas Company in 1998.
