Queen Street Bus Terminal

Queen Street Bus Terminal (Chinese: 奎因街巴士终站), also known as the Ban San Bus Terminal, is a bus terminal in Singapore. It is an aging terminal located in a relatively inconvenient location due to changes in transport patterns around it. However, it has remained in its current location as it has become a centralised location for commuters travelling to Johor Bahru, Malaysia by public bus over time. This is largely in part due to SBS Transit Service 170, which operates out of the terminal (as it was the only public bus service, besides tour coaches, to operate into Malaysia for a period in the past). Today, beside it, there is also a bus terminal for the Singapore-Johore Express which goes across the Johor-Singapore Causeway to Johor Bahru.

Famous quotes containing the words queen, street, bus and/or terminal:

    She is
The queen of curds and cream.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

Think of admitting the details of a single case of the criminal court into our thoughts, to stalk profanely through their very sanctum sanctorum for an hour, ay, for many hours! to make a very barroom of the mind’s inmost apartment, as if for so long the dust of the street had occupied us,—the very street itself, with all its travel, its bustle, and filth, had passed through our thoughts’ shrine! Would it not be an intellectual and moral suicide?
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

An actor rides in a bus or railroad train; he sees a movement and applies it to a new role. A woman in agony of spirit might turn her head just so; a man in deep humiliation probably would wring his hands in such a way. From straws like these, drawn from completely different sources, the fabric of a character may be built. The whole garment in which the actor hides himself is made of small externals of observation fitted to his conception of a role.
    Eleanor Robson Belmont (1878–1979)

All sin tends to be addictive, and the terminal point of addiction is what is called damnation.
    —W.H. (Wystan Hugh)
