Famous quotes containing the words queen, mother, champion and/or chase:

If it were worth while to argue a paradox, one might maintain that nature regards the female as the essential, the male as the superfluity of her world. Perhaps the best starting-point for study of the Virgin would be a practical acquaintance with bees, and especially with queen bees.
    Henry Brooks Adams (1838–1918)

A man loves his sweetheart the most, his wife the best, but his mother the longest.
    Irish Proverb.

But now Miss America, World’s champion woman, you take your promenading self down into the cobalt blue waters of the Caribbean and see what happens. You meet a lot of darkish men who make vociferous love to you, but otherwise pay you no mid.
    Zora Neale Hurston (1891–1960)

I don’t know why one can’t chase two rabbits at the same time, even in the literal sense of those words. If you have the hounds, go ahead and pursue.
    Anton Pavlovich Chekhov (1860–1904)
